The two-part standard sink cover is very practical, but the half cutting board is less so. Even when rolling out the dough it is simply too small.
We have a remedy using this Gastro cutting board created in the dimensions 600 x 400 x 18 mm. It is made of HDPE 500 and complies with the HACCP standard.
It is therefore slightly larger than both halves of the cover combined and can be sawed and sanded perfectly.
Place both covers on two edges congruently on the new board, tighten the edges with a fine permanent saw and sawn to size with the circular saw and guide rail. The corners were neatly trimmed with a jigsaw and a fine metal saw blade and brought to the exact dimensions with a belt sander. Finally, mark the drip and handle hole at the top edge at the level of the faucet spout and implement it with a 25 mm Forstner drill. Finally, the surrounding edges and those of the hole were broken and smoothed with 600-grit sandpaper. The new cutting board is ready.
