Table of contents
Themes for WordPress are a dime a dozen, free and paid, depending on the required scope of services and design quality.
Add themes
Themes are created via the WordPress page menu under the point Design – Themes Installed. Above you can click on Add theme A theme can be chosen from a wealth of design drafts and installed.
If content is already available, you can view it by clicking on it preview in the selected design or a sample page is displayed.
Delete themes
Installed themes that have proven to be unsuitable can be removed by clicking on them and then clicking on the red button Delete can be removed from the theme overview at the bottom right.
Theme selection
As with providers, there are differences in the range of services offered by theme designers. Design isn't everything. The site should be high-performance, load quickly, be clear and intuitive to use. The date of the last update, the more recent, the greater the indication to include this theme in the shortlist.
Themes – free / paid
Here too, the cost may be the tipping point that decides for or against.
A private blog, a hobby website, loading times should be relatively insignificant. If you run a website with rich content, possibly even a shop, etc., the paid themes are definitely recommended.
A subsequent switch to a paid version is always possible, but it is not very economical with the corresponding adjustment effort.
Themes – the golden mean
If you want to be free on the one hand and largely flexible in the design options on the other, this is the plugin for you Elementor placed close to heart.
But be careful – Elementor is powerful! “Just quick” is definitely not enough, even if everything is presented so easily. For those who can, driving is child's play. If you have to learn it, it can often be a horror. Therefore: no pain, no gain, not here either!
