Washing machine in the motorhome

For longer trips or stays in a motorhome, the issue of washing laundry will become acute in the foreseeable future and people will start looking for a suitable washing machine.

Many users apparently have good experiences with this model, which holds 2 kg of laundry oneConcept DB003 made. For around 120 euros you can get a washing machine with a separate spinner that – given its size – even lives up to its name with 1,340 rpm.

At 250 W, the power consumption corresponds to that of a large absorption fridge-freezer combination. The spinner is satisfied with 120 W. It requires 230 V AC voltage, so it can be operated with an inverter with a moderate battery load.

A timer ensures a pre-selectable washing time of up to 15 minutes, another of up to 5 minutes for the spin.

With a depth of 35 cm, a height of 58 cm and a length of 57 cm, it fits comfortably in any rear garage.

Washing and spinning process

The washing process is simple: pour in warm water, add washing powder and items to be washed, select the desired washing time and start the washing process.

After the preset time has elapsed, drain the washing water through the drain hose, fill in fresh water for rinsing and start the rinsing process. Depending on the clarity of the rinse water, repeat this step if necessary.

Finally, the items to be washed are transported into the spinner and the spin cycle is started using the timer.

Cleaning the machine

Clean and dry the drums with a soft cloth. The exterior can be quickly cleaned with just a few wipes and the machine can be put back in its resting place.
