Only additional factors, such as injuries, stress, alcohol, medication, infectious diseases, metabolic disorders, hormonal and environmental influences can cause the onset of the disease.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>While healthy skin regenerates itself within 26 ... 27 days, in psoriasis the process takes just under a week. However, as the skin cells to be replaced are still far too young and therefore not ready for rejection, they thicken and form the plaques mentioned above.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Formen_der_Psoriasis\"><\/span>Forms of psoriasis<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>There are different forms of psoriasis with varying degrees of severity:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Psoriasis geographica<\/strong><br>Named because of their shape - outlines resembling those of countries on a world map: large contiguous psoriasis foci<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Psoriasis palmaris et plantaris<\/strong><br>Named after the place of occurrence: palmaris (palm of the hand), plantaris (soles of the feet)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Psoriasis punctata<\/strong><br>Named after its appearance, the size of a matchstick head, punctual psoriasis foci distributed over the entire trunk<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Pustular psoriasis<\/strong><br>Named after the appearance of purulent pustules<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Psoriasis vulgaris<\/strong><br>Large areas of psoriasis, conspicuous silvery scaling with a narrow, red border around the edge<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Common to all forms is the presence of increased concentrations of pro-inflammatory proteins in the affected areas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Therapie-Ansatz\"><\/span>Therapy approach<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The therapeutic approach of HQH granules in mild to moderate psoriasis was already tested in August 2018 in a randomized, double-blind, controlled trial. <a href=\"https:\/\/pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov\/30246016\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">study<\/a> on <em>First Affiliated Hospital <\/em>the <em>Harbin Medical University<\/em>, The results were tested both experimentally on HaCaT cells (a type of human cell cultivated to determine the efficacy of various substances; used as a central model in dermatological research) and on patients.<br>In December 2025, this confirmed <a href=\"https:\/\/pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov\/41376224\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">study<\/a> the efficacy of Huaier on keratocyte proliferation and inflammatory responses: \u201e... (STAT1) regulation was associated with decreased expression of pro-inflammatory cytokines, including interleukin-17A and tumor necrosis factor alpha ...\u201c<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The - study-typical - formulation of the research results reads (quote from the above link):<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>... effectively inhibited the proliferation of Hacat cells and induced cell cycle arrest. Efficacy and safety in patients with psoriasis were observed in clinical trials. Huaier has shown promising effects in both experimental and clinical settings in this preliminary study and may provide some benefit in the treatment of psoriasis vulgaris in the future.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p>The concrete <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov\/core\/lw\/2.0\/html\/tileshop_pmc\/tileshop_pmc_inline.html?title=Click%20on%20image%20to%20zoom&amp;p=PMC3&amp;id=6136520_BMRI2018-2372895.003.jpg\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Photo<\/a> of a patient before, after two and four weeks of treatment is convincing, even for the medical layman (erythema, desquamation and infiltration significantly reduced):<\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter size-full\"><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"611\" height=\"380\" src=\"https:\/\/csiag.de\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/02\/image-1.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-12623\" srcset=\"https:\/\/csiag.de\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/02\/image-1.png 611w, https:\/\/csiag.de\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/02\/image-1-300x187.png 300w, https:\/\/csiag.de\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/02\/image-1-18x12.png 18w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 611px) 100vw, 611px\" \/><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\n<p>The laboratory results of the relevant values after four weeks of treatment confirm the visual impression in the laboratory (before -&gt; after):<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>PASI (Psoriasis Area and Severity Index) 8.0 -&gt; 1.8<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>BSA (Psoriasis Area and Severity Index) 2.8 -&gt; 2.5%<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>sPGA (static Physician Global Assessment) 3 -&gt; 0<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>DLQI (Dermatology Life Quality Index) 7 -&gt; 1.0<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Another patient had the following laboratory values:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>PASI 8.0 -&gt; 0.5<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>BSA 6.8% -&gt; 0.2%<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>sPGA 3 -&gt; 0<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>DLQI 9.0 -&gt; 0<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Side effects in the form of flatulence and diarrhea occurred in only 2 of 84 test subjects within three days of starting treatment. Furthermore, no deviations in other vital parameters were recorded compared to the period before treatment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The dosage for the HQH granules (Huaiqihuang) resulting from the study data is 2x 10g daily for 4 to 8 weeks.<br>In the study, HQH was analyzed together with <em>Yinxie granules <\/em>which had an age-specific dosage of 6g ( 70 kg).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Since the Huaier fungus, whose active ingredients are also contained in HQH, only has the keratogenic aspects (<em>Keratinocytes<\/em>), but does not interfere with the immunological feedback loops that are central to psoriasis chronicity (<a href=\"https:\/\/bmccomplementmedtherapies.biomedcentral.com\/articles\/10.1186\/s12906-021-03415-x\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">BMC Complementary Medicine and Therapies<\/a><a href=\"https:\/\/pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov\/32655761\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">PubMed<\/a>) and no direct anti-inflammatory effect on cytokines, as well as T-cell modulation monotherapy in multifactorial disease, the combination therapy used in the study is specifically more effective here.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"1_Synergistische_Wirkmechanismen\"><\/span>1. <strong>Synergistic mechanisms of action<\/strong><span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Huaier alone:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Blocks keratinocyte proliferation in the G1 phase cycle <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nature.com\/articles\/s41598-018-25610-6\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Nature<\/a><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Direct antiproliferative effect<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Lycium barbarum (<em>Goji<\/em>) adds:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Reduces TNF-\u03b1 and IL-6, inhibits NF-\u03baB activation <a href=\"https:\/\/pmc.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov\/articles\/PMC8786887\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">PubMed Central<\/a><a href=\"https:\/\/www.nature.com\/articles\/s41419-022-04523-3\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Nature<\/a><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Dual action: both pro- and anti-inflammatory, which creates immune balance <a href=\"https:\/\/www.sciencedirect.com\/science\/article\/pii\/S0022202X22002019\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">ScienceDirect<\/a><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Activates macrophages via NF-\u03baB and AP-1 <a href=\"https:\/\/pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov\/30246016\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">PubMed<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Polygonatum sibiricum (<em>Huangjing<\/em>) adds:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Increases IL-2, IFN-\u03b3, IgM and IgA;
